What To Expect On Your Hunt...

The Northern Rocky Mountains Park is a Class A provincial park encompassing over 2600 square miles within the Muskwa - Kechika.  You must arrive in Fort Nelson the day before your trip begins.  We will depart Fort Nelson early on the first day of your trip in order that you arrive at your destination early that same day.  Kleedo Creek boat launch is your Muskwa River departure point and you will be returned there on the last day of your hunt.  I can assist with accomodation arrangements in Fort Nelson if required.

You should be prepared for a wide range of weather conditions. During August the temperatures range from 70 F (+20 C) to lows of 20 F to 30 F (-2 C) at night.  In late September and October the thermometer may drop to 10 F (-10 C) at night with a chance of snow.

Our mission is to ensure that your trip is enjoyable, safe & successful.  The better prepared you are, the more you will enjoy your trip.  Be sure all your equipment is tested and up to the job. Most of the hunting sites are in the foothills and are easy access if you are in reasonable shape.

Drop-off Hunts...

We do drop-off hunts to most areas of the Muskwa and Tuchodi Rivers for Stone Sheep, Elk, Moose, Caribou, Goat and Grizzly Bear.  On all hunts except Stone Sheep, I will be back to check your camp during your hunt (on a pre-arranged date) to ensure that everything is okay and to remove your game to town as required.

Weight...

Average weight to bring is approx 80 lbs of personal gear per person. Common gear (including wall tents, stoves, cots, food, etc) averages approx 350 lbs total with a group of 4. Excessive weight that requires additional trips will be subject to additional charge. Please call if you have any questions related to weight and gear.

Booking...

Booking is done on a first-come-first-serve basis.  Simply select the dates for your hunt and the duration. Call to confirm dates.  A deposit of 50% per person is required to hold your preferred dates for the hunt.

Cancellation...

Every effort is made to find a replacement hunt to fill dates in the event of a hunt cancellation.  If you must cancel your hunt there will be a full refund if cancelled before 6 months from the start of the hunt.  A deposit will be forfeited if a hunt is cancelled after 6 months from the start of the hunt and a replacement hunt cannot be arranged.  If a replacement hunt can be arranged there will be a full refund.
